Take a look at this adorable shower invitation, thank you note and favor...if I were better at product photography I'd show you more but I couldn't bear to post the others because they don't do this stuff justice! Amy Gunn is one of those people that has the design eye/craftiness/good taste of a Martha Stewart (truly) with a far better personality. :)
She whipped up these custom-designed invitations (with a darling little poem she wrote herself), party favors, thank-you notes, and managed to find perfect serving ware/tablecoth/decor combinations to go with it. And with some leftover items she made this unbelievable little 8x10 photo mat. Oh, and she's going to create a custom mobile to hang over the serving table at the shower. It is all to-die-for cute.
She's a busy one...but, if you are interested in having her design your very own accoutrements for an upcoming shower or birthday party, you can't go wrong. As soon as word gets out about her, she'll book up fast, so be sure to contact her as soon as you know you are interested. She can give you more information about availability and pricing. You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Of course, the Brenner household just made it through our big birthday season but you can bet I'll be calling her come fall when round two begins.
Friday was the 7th anniversary of my Mom's death...on the spur of the moment I took little JM to the cemetery. Mom wanted to be buried in the shade of a tree, and there is this gorgeous tree right by her headstone. JM loved hanging out there...plenty of stuff to explore right at the base of the tree.
I miss my mom something fierce, and often I look at my kids and for one reason or another think, "Mom would think they are so funny (or clever, or gorgeous, or talented, or goofy, or whatever)." This little outing with JM was no different, and it was all the more poignant of course seeing him march around under Mom's tree. But, I just kept looking at him and thinking, "Wouldn't Mom think he's so handsome?"
