You wouldn't think a dog would have an opinion about a camera one way or the other, but they clearly do. And this lovely lady had a major opinion, and with good reason...somewhere along the line her family discovered that point and shoot cameras gave her seizures (perhaps the whirring noise) so there haven't been too many pictures of her. The SLR camera I use doesn't make any noise except for the shutter click, so we thought we were in the clear. And, in terms of the seizures, we were...but I suppose she knows a camera when she sees one and she would have NONE OF IT. I tried sneaking up on her, any number of treats and even feigned nonchalance...but no. She's no fool! Bring out that camera and she would politely trot off. Ah well, even in the few I got you can see how gorgeous she is...
I have a bunch of images to share over the coming days, so be sure to check back often! I spent the weekend in NYC and was fortunate enough to get some photos of my nieces and nephew...and their two gorgeous collies. Here is one I love of the big guy...sweet as can be and genuinely seemed thrilled to pose. Normally I tend to like black and white images best but this one is an exception! I love the rug behind him and how that sets off the gold in his coat...be sure to click on the thumbnail to get a bigger image.
2008 will hold some new things for Little Lives Photography...you'll have to wait to see exactly what! But, for now, here's a little hint; I did a shot today of this little guy and his brother (I'll post him tomorrow) and loved it. I mean, how could you not? Check out the eyes on this little heartbreaker...and be sure to click on the thumbnail to appreciate the little beads of water on his nose!
I am a sucker for cute Valentine's Day stuff...and this year is no exception! I've been hoarding little Valentine-y items for some time now and I can't wait to use them in upcoming sessions. There are some gorgeous pink tutus, Valentine cupcakes, heart-covered building blocks...and don't even get me started on the Valentine's clothes at the Gap. Adorable.
If you book a session to be completed between now and the end of February, you will save $100 on your session fee! (Big savings.) Contact me as soon as possible to get your session scheduled. Fun, fun!
